Non-Destructive Testing

HIV diagnostic device

A noninvasive test capable of detecting HIV virus presence as early as 72 hours after infection. ARM and FPGA based embedded system obtains an accurate result in about 1 minute.

Dental measurements

We managed the R&D procedures of root canal measurement devices, Endomotor and Implant Locator devices. The development of these devices were executed according to the requirements of different regulatory authorities (FDA, CE, etc.).

Cancer cells detection medical device

Breast surgeons come across critical questions with every lumpectomy performed: Did I remove the right amount of tissue?

S.D.H. has developed a system that utilizes RF Spectroscopy in a unique and sophisticated way to analyze tissue that identifies both healthy and malignant cells.

S.D.H. solution was made not only to assure that the entire amount of malignant tissue was removed but also to assure that healthy cell tissue would not be harmed in the process.

Ultrasound diagnostic of metal sheets

S.D.H. has developed the control unit for high-speed ultrasonic inspection of longitudinal or spiral submerged arc welded (SAW) pipe.

S.D.H. design, using a low-cost FPGA, made it possible to reduce scanning period to as low as 10nsec and achieve high precision detection.

Train detection system

The ALAPR project is a consortium of 7 European partners. One of the main components of the ALARP system is the TPAD. The TPAD is an autonomous, self-powered approaching train alerting system, developed by S.D.H. that will serve as virtual gate and will deliver an alarm to all the people within the relevant working site through a dedicated communication channel.

Unique micro-controller s/w algorithm, developed by S.D.H., based on signal processing of the measurements, received from seismic sensors, made it possible to detect the train at safe distance and to send an ALERT to the working site.

3D Laser based scanning system

A 3D Laser based scanning system has been developed for an autonomous car. The Research and Development performed by S.D.H. included system definition, electronics, firmware, software, mechanical and optical activities.

The s/w algorithm change, suggested by S.D.H., improved system performance in distance measurement 4 times according to the original definitions.
