Imaging and Signal Processing
High resolution camera for a low bandwidth infrastructure.
S.D.H. has developed a high-resolution camera that transmits high-resolution images over low bandwidth infrastructure.
By using a highly sophisticated algorithm, the camera transfers the high-resolution image, divided by a FPGA, in several parts. On the other end a computer software (or a dedicated device) restores the image to its original format. The procedure is absolutely lossless.
Based on S.D.H. signal processing embedded s/w algorithm the camera changes the image acquisition parameters on the fly to obtain optimal image quality.
Imager system
Using a methodology developed by our customer to quantify the cultivable / reproducible microorganisms by detecting the fluorescent response of their metabolic activity, SDH has developed automatic Bacteria Counter “Imager system” and filter holder units.
The system, developed by S.D.H., acquires the image of the specimen, as small as 800nm, to be analyzed, transfers the obtained image to PC, analyzes it and display the results.
The user places the filter holder with the filter onto the system and starts the analysis. The system images the filter with up to four different illuminations. The resulting images are superimposed, and the image processing software is used to provide an accurate count of the existing microorganisms.
